Lord of the Flies

Lord of the Flies was a good read. I liked the fact how it could be interpreted in different ways depending on the mindset of the reader. A little kid may read it and think it is just a simple adventure novel of a group of boys struggling to survive on an island by themselves as they wait for their rescue. An older and more educated person though, may read it and interpret it as a microcosm of the conflict going on between countries around the world. Several readers have written articles on how Lord of the Flies effectively displays the potential for humans to act out evil doings, which I personally believe it does. I'll put a link to one of those articles below. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book.

“We may stay here till we die.”(1.125)
